Got this from Troy today. He came to one of our RaceRight Camps a few months ago. Here is what he has to say:
Hi David,
I am writing to say thanks for your (and Brendan's) advice at the training camp and that I really appreciate the support I have received from the cycling Inform Team since then.
I won my first race yesterday at the Northern Combine Event at Woodend. The training program has given me the power I needed to finally win a race. I am more competitive and able to climb easier, bridge gaps and recover from hard efforts without 'blowing up'. Also, I have improved my ability to sprint at the end of a race, as was apparent in the uphill finish yesterday.
I look forward to the online coaching program and training camps and working with you and your team in the future.
Kind Regards
Troy Stedwell

Congratulations to Ian for his impressive solo win at Saturday's Preston Mountain Classic. Ian's race report revealed that "my bunch [19 minutes] caught the limit bunch [27 minutes] just before the last climb and I felt really good having had 4 others in our group that wanted to roll turns constantly. I managed to get over the top with a bit of a gap and maintained it till the finish, which was very satisfying.". Ian completed the RaceRight Cycling Camp just the week before and used the tactics learned at the camp to help him win.
Denise his partner (also a the camp) was doing well in the same race until she punctured 500 meters to the finish.

Lisa Rosan is new to cycling and she has achieved really great results in such
a short time. She has a great infectious enthusiasm for cycling. And... I’m
thinking that she’ll do really well on the track and settle with it after
trying many of the cycling disciplines. On the back of attending the RaceRight Cycling
Camp she takes out a C Grade win at Darebin Velodrome. Here is her account of
her recent win. Congratulations Lisa!
Startline - I pulled up to the fence right at the back, just enough time to not hear 90% of the starting instructions except that bit about at 4 laps to go you can stay at the front. Lucky I did, 4 laps to go, I was at the front, took the half lap as offered for free and watched the bike pull off. Got a bit surreal then, could hear a bit of pedalling behind, puffing and panting. No-one came around or offered to lead me out so with 2 laps to go thought I'd better pick it up a bit & try and stave off the hordes. Tried some stuff from Brendan's training/flogging and jumped. I think I jumped at least, not sure if the acceleration counted as a jump or maybe just a twitch. Still no-one coming around me.. Bugger them, went faster, Bell lap, Vo2 max, last bend, could hear some panting over my right shoulder. Faster still, the bugger wouldn't give me a ride so not giving him a win. Finish line. Yippee. Panting man wheezed out something like "good race" and I picked up a cheer from fellow bumblebees (Hawthorn riders) Trev & Spinny lined up for C grade. Lisa Rosan.
